"Where should I buy my instrument?"

We send guitar and bass students to Mr. Music in Allston; for other instruments, call for a recommendation.

"My son wants to play the drums, but I don't think I want that kind of racket in my house . . . "

Electronic drumsets are getting cheaper all the time. The feel isn't the same as a regular kit, but it's better than nothing.

"I've never played an instrument before, and I'm not musically talented, but I love listening to music and really want to play an instrument."

We like teaching beginners, and anyone who loves music and is willing to practice on a regular basis can become proficient with a musical instrument.

"How much do you charge for classes and/or rehearsal space?"

We charge $30 for half hour private lessons and $50 for hour lessons. For band rehearsal space we charge $25 an hour Monday through Thursday and $30 an hour Friday through Sunday. For teachers who need to rent a room to conduct lessons, we charge $10 an hour.
